Student Spotlight: Elena Soto
Elena Soto is a Master's student at Texas Robotics and member of the Rehabilitation and Neuromuscular Robotics Laboratory (ReNeu). She is graduating this summer and currently looking for a post-graduate position.
Elena has been developing a system that enables robotic arms to understand human movement and translate it into robotic movement, giving people with spinal cord injuries the ability to perform tasks that they could not otherwise perform. With the potential to transform the lives of people with spinal cord injuries, Elena's work is a testament to the dedication of students at Texas Robotics to make the world a better place.

Texas Robotics offers a Graduate Portfolio Program through which students can earn a “Certification of Expertise” distinction on their masters or doctorate level degree.
Ukrainian Volunteers Use 3D Printers to Save Lives
Texas Robotics would like to welcome Roman Mykhailyshyn, an Associate Professor of Automation Technological Processes and Manufacturing at Ternopil National Technical University, Ukraine. Dr Mykhailyshyn is joining us for the next year to continue his robotics research, as part of the UT Center for Russian and Eastern European and Eurasian Studies program to sponsor displaced Ukrainian scholars.
In a recent IEE Spectrum article, Dr Roman Mykhailyshyn highlights ways that volunteers in the Ukraine have used 3D printers to fabricate products used to support their troops and medics.
