Texas Robotics researchers Xuesu Xiao, Harel Yedidsion, Reuth Mirsky, Justin Hart, and Peter Stone are co-organizing the symposium "Machine Learning for Mobile Robot Navigation in the Wild" as part of the AAAI 2021 Spring Symposium Series. The symposium will take place on March 22-24 at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California, USA.

The 2.5-day symposium aims at bringing together researchers from both academia and industry who are interested in using machine learning to enable mobile robot navigation in the wild and to provide a shared platform to discuss learning fundamental navigation problems. It will feature technical talks, poster presentations, breakout sessions, and panel discussions, with actual mobile robots demonstration. Over 40 researchers in the field have confirmed attendance, with six confirmed invited speakers and five confirmed industrial partners, including Bosch, HEBI Robotics, Amazon, Clearpath Robotics, and Hydronalix.
