February 24, 2024

Robot Meet n’ Greet (Great for All Ages):

Come hang out with and learn about real robots! Witness robot demos hosted by undergraduate robotics organizations on campus and pick up some activity pages to learn more.

Robots will be changed every 1.5 hours. These times are subject to change due to the charging and maintenance needs of the robots.

Schedule:
11:30-1:30 Robots presented by IEEE Robotics and Automation Society
1:30-2:00: Reset and Break
2:00-4:00: Robots presented by ECLAIR

Gravity Bots and Activity Station: Texas Robotics Graduate Students:

Build a gravity-powered robot out of everyday craft materials. Learn about the basic principles of engineering, balance, and weight distribution. Race the robot down angled ramps. The gravity robot activity is best for grades 4-8.

Visit our activity station for robot coloring pages and small hands-on activities. This is the perfect station for younger kids.

Anna Hiss Gymnasium Tours:
This event is RSVP Only and it has sold out. Reservations were released through STEM Girl Day official communications. If you are interested in visiting the Anna Hiss Gymnasium another day, please visit our "Visit us" page under our "Engage" tab of our website.

*Robot run times are subject to change based on the robot's charging needs. For your safety, please do not touch any robot unless directly advised so by a Texas Robotics staff.

View more information.

The Texas Robotics Symposium is a yearly event showcasing the latest advancements in robotics. This year's symposium will contain discussions, demos, presentations, and posters on the fields of mobile autonomous robotics, human-robot interaction, medical robotics, and robot manipulation.

The two-day symposium will also include special features such as the "Bots & Bites: Lunch with Robots," a graduate student poster presentation, an undergraduate student special display, networking sessions, and three different discussion panels featuring representatives from Amazon, Good Systems, and Dell Medical School.

The symposium will run from 9-5 pm on Oct 19 and 9-4 pm on Oct 20. Check back for more details about the symposium as the event approaches.

Robot Parade

October 12, 2023 at 11:45 am - 1:00 pm

Faculty, students, and organizations in Texas Robotics will gather together to walk their robots from the Anna Hiss Gymnasium (AHG) to the Gregory Gymnasium Plaza. We will be marching from AHG to the Plaza from 11:45 am - 12:00 pm and remaining in the Plaza from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm. Please join us during this time to see robot demonstrations and learn more about each robot.

Texas Robotics Social

September 21, 4:00 - 6:30 pm

The social is open to all robotics-interested students on campus and will include robotics demos, networking with other students, faculty, and industry partners, snacks (including ice cream from Mom and Pops Natural Frozen Pops), and games.

Students can use this an an opportunity to get to know other robotics students and faculty, learn about other robotics opportunities on campus, and just have fun!
